I had the opportunity to try out the Lume Pad and I am really impressed about this tech. The videos and pictures which come with the pad are making clear the huge potential this device has for entertainment and business applications. I used some of my exiting 2D photos and the pad used some magic AI to make them virtually 3D. This worked really seamless. Also I did some drone shots where I circled the object and the supplied software was using that data to create an impressive 3D experience. Well done Lume Pad. \KTN
Everybody should own one.
This tablet offer better 3D experience than previous glasses-free devices like smartphones and tablets, due it's size with the freedom to move your head without the need of eye-tracking. Images really pop out (and pop in) and don't cause eye strains nor dizziness.
I am very impressed with what this pad can do. I have made reflective holograms in the past that were single color and required special lighting or sunlight to view. This device has capabilities beyond simple holograms in full color with a reasonable depth without much effort. I am experimenting with all the tools provided and find the ability to also do video fascinating, but I haven't tried it yet. Overall I believe this device is well worth the price. I look forward to a time when the 4V pictures could be viewed on a regular screen with some simulated 3D using an app.
